Bon Odori Festival is a Japanese Buddhist observance honouring the spirits of ancestors, who return once a year to visit their families. Traditional dance is performed to entertain the spirits of the ancestors.

There are several traditional dances in Japan, but the one of the most famous and common dance is Bon dance, which is called "Bon Odori" in Japanese. People dance Bon Dance in the Bon Festival. The Bon Festival is held every summer, in every district in every city.

Here are details for the 33rd BON ODORI FESTIVAL to be held in PANASONIC SPORTS COMPLEX at SHAH ALAM , SELANGOR on 18th JULY 2009. Free admission to all. Gates open at 5pm. Event starts at 7pm till 9:30pm. Pease note that NO high heels on the field, NO smoking and NO cosplay are allowed.
